Our story

Founded in 1989 by Jenny Dicker, Bumble Bees Day Nursery was established to provide high-quality childcare for families in Kemsing and the surrounding communities. Built on a foundation of community presence, care and exceptional early years education, the nursery has become a trusted part of local family life for more than 35 years.

Over the years, Bumble Bees has cared for children from over 700 families, with many former children returning years later as parents themselves. This lasting connection reflects the strong relationships and sense of community that have always been at the heart of our nursery.As the nursery has grown, we have expanded to care for over 30 children, while maintaining the friendly, family atmosphere that makes Bumble Bees so special. We are also proud to be one of the few Ofsted Outstanding-rated day nurseries in the local area, recognising our commitment to providing exceptional care and education.

In 2026, Bumble Bees began an exciting new chapter when ownership was passed to Anna Croasdell and Amy Ayliffe, who are serving as the nursery's Manager and Deputy Manager. our vision is to preserve Jenny's original values while continuing to develop the nursery through a modern, enriching curriculum and creating additional spaces to support the growing number of families in the Sevenoaks area.

Today, Bumble Bees remains committed to giving every child a safe, happy and inspiring environment where they can learn, grow and thrive.
